Our client is seeking a proactive Training Specialist to support the Navy Information War-fighting Development Center (NIWDC) headquarters in Norfolk, VA. You are a team player working to deliver training in a creative and exciting way. Your Assured Command and Control-related experience, as well as your experience in education and learning technologies, will be essential for this role. Train NIWDC personnel.
Conduct, facilitate and lead training presentations and related subjects.
Evaluate effectiveness of training/course presentations.
Develop curriculum and revise courses.
Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods, and utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness.
Develop and select training aids, such as multimedia visual aids, and training handbooks.
Test students to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of such training.
Investigate new technologies and techniques for potential benefit for new trainer acquisition.
May provide work leadership for lower level employees including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs.
Bachelors degree and at least 10 years of Assured Command and Control-related experience, emphasizing the profession/occupation and/or emphasizing education and learning technologies.
In lieu of degree requirement, must have at least at least 18 years of Assured Command and Control-related experience, emphasizing the profession/occupation and/or emphasizing education and learning technologies.
Knowledge that is recognized as expert level in areas of training.
Knowledge including but not limited to the following areas: High Frequency Low Probability of Intercept (HF LPI), Assured Command Control (AC2), Denied Degraded Environment ( D2E), AC2 Modem, Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN), Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO),Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Afloat, Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) OPS, Screaming Eagle, Blue Hunt Capabilities, Host Based Security System (HBSS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM), Global Broadcast System (GBS) Split IP, Navy Multiband Terminal NMT and Tactical Situation (TAC-SIT).
Good communications skills; requires operating application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
Position may require travel. Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Master Training Specialist or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting to 20 pounds. Constant sitting while using the computer terminal and processing and reviewing documents and constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
