Our client is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join their diverse and dynamic EWCSS contract support team in Washington, DC. Successful candidate will provide multidisciplinary engineering and budgetary analysis and support in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse acoustic systems. Assist in the planning, control and direction of staff and customs support personnel for one or more contracts. Directly support the maintenance of the current base and develop and implement emerging tasking within Foreign Military Sales and Testing and Engineering program functions.
Essential Responsibilities: - Provide Test & Evaluation (T&E) support for development and maintenance of master plans and operational requirements documents. - Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of FMS, engineering and program management activities. - Monitor customer feedback and provide support for a broad range of technical issues related to systems engineering and integration, submarine warfare system planning and modernization planning and execution coordination. - Support transition of PEO IWS delivered Adv. Processing Builds (APB) by providing independent technical assessments and recommendations. - Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of system designs to determine compliance with specifications and standards required for foreign military sales. - Support the investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other acquisition, finance, engineering and technical personnel.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. (Equivalent: Associates and at least 8 years of job-related experience or No degree and at least 11 years of job-related experience.)
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Spreadsheet development (MS Excel) integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Travel may be required.
Thorough knowledge SONAR theory.
Submarine SONAR experience. Outboard SONAR knowledge preferred.
Analytical skills and the ability to synthesize quantitative data
Working knowledge of export licensing and associated technical review processes
