System One has an immediate need for Electrical Safety Professionals with a strong background in electrical safety and lockout/tagout, extensive knowledge of electrical safety (NFPA 70 and 70E), and an electrical inspection certification for a long-term project in Carlsbad, NM.
Scope:
Serve as safety oversight for construction projects to ensure full compliance with applicable federal, state and DOE requirements pertaining to Industrial Safety. Conduct inspections of work locations and job performance to ensure compliance with safety requirements and safety of personnel. Conduct reviews of procedures, work control documents and job hazard analysis documents to ensure hazards are appropriately defined and mitigated.
Work Duties to Include:
Perform detailed work, analyze findings, prepare reports, and make recommendations to improve safety
Accurately interpret, apply and explain applicable codes, laws, regulations, policies and procedures
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910, 29 CFR Part 1926
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Previous experience in construction safety is mandatory (minimum of 4 years)
Excellent Communication Skills
Preferred Requirements:
Department of Energy (DOE) experience
Occupational Safety and Health Degree or associated field of study
Safety Certification CHST or greater
Hoisting and Rigging
Background/Knowledge of MSHA, 30 CFR Part 57
Underground Experienced Miner
NFPA 70E Knowledge/Electrical Inspector or IAEI certification
Lockout/Tag-out
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Electrical – Level II or Journeyman electrician capable of passing ICC-electrical Inspector Certification.
