2ND Shift- M-F 3PM- 11PM with OT on SAT AND SUN
Machinist will be running CNC Mills and Lathes to complete orders from customers. Machinist must be skilled machinist because they will be responsible for running mills and lathes both. They also have manual milling and drilling. They will be given a part that needs to be ran and they will have to set the machine up, including tooling and fixtures, and making sure they are pulling the part number program. After they run the first part, they will then check quality and compare measurements to blueprints. If parts are on spec, they will continue to run the ordered amount. If part are off any way they will then make the corrective offsets and continue to run one part until they are making the correct ordered parts. Machinist will need to be able to use Micrometers, Calipers and Depth Gage.
The company uses heavy Mazak but also has Gleason and Mitsubishi machines.
Must Haves- 1+ Years as an actual machinist
- 1.)Changing tooling and fixtures to run new parts. This means they are mechanically inclined and can identify new parts and follow the SOPs
- 2.) Pulling programs from HMI- This is like a file book that has the different part numbers programmed in. They will have to know how to use the HMI to find programs.
- 3.) Quality checks- Mics and Cals- Depth gages- Being able to check OD ID and depth- They must have their own MICS AND CALS (Let me know on the front end if this does not work)
- 4.) Offsets- Editing HMI and programming to run quality parts. They will have to be able to identify if it is a tooling issue, program issue or any other machine part issue.
- 5.) Reading blueprints.
