We are currently seeking an Multi-Craftsperson for Plant Systems in our Mooresville, NC manufacturing facility.
Install, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical systems of the Plant to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and facilities in accordance with codes, regulations and safety specifications.
Diagnose equipment problems of mechanical or electrical nature using defined troubleshooting logic.
Layout/assemble/wire control systems from electrical schematic packages.
Layout/assemble/wire equipment systems from electrical schematic packages.
Troubleshoot/repair/program/install Motor Control Systems in Department.
Troubleshoot PLC control systems and I/O Networks.
Troubleshoot Electronics Concepts (components, power supplies, etc.
CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of Parameter settings and their effects.
Knowledge of the drive interface circuits.
Knowledge of electronic controllers.
Knowledge of transducers and transmitters.
Skills & Abilities:
Able to read Electrical, Pneumatic and Mechanical prints.
Able to use Shop Equipment to repair/upgrade/modify parts for equipment.
Knowledge of Electrical Control Concepts (3 Phase power, Transformers, etc.).
Able to adapt to the Company culture and communicate with customers effectively in a professional manner.
Able to use test equipment safely and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
Able to cross reference replacement parts.
Able to determine faulty power and control devices.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical interlock.
Knowledge of the operation of ?latch? circuits.
Able to determine if safety equipment has been tested.
Able to safely de-energize and lockout a feeder or system.
Able to safely lockout power.
Skills need to be strong electrically but they will also need to do mechanical repairs on hydraulics, pnuematics, and conveyor systems.
