Working as a janitor for a manufacturing company.
This position reports to Lead Facilities Associate.
They pay a lot of money for an 3rd party facilities company to come in and clean their facilities a few days a week. Even before the COVID-19, they were looking at hiring on a temp to hire for their site full-time. Now that the virus has hit, they want to hire somebody full-time AND utilize the cleaning service so that there is more cleaning of the site. Once everything dies down with COVID 19, they want to stop using the cleaning service and just have this janitor.
This is a temp to hire with a high possibility of conversion, but with everything going on right now, there is always the risk that it would just be temp. But if all goes well, they want to convert this person to FT.
SHIFT: Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm.
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Clean and disinfect office areas
Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Apply wax to coat floors and buff.
Apply sealant to floors.
Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants
Use approved measures to prevent insect and rodent infestation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Prior janitorial experience is a must have.
They will work with an associate named Alfonso and train with him/support him. They have an agenda of what this person will be doing on a day to day basis.
Wants them to know the basic fundamentals of : mopping, cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
Ideally must be able to lift 50 lbs. If somebody was a lighter duty person with a lot of janitorial experience theyd consider them.
Bilingual: advantageous to be bilingual. Spanish speaking only is ok.
