This mechanic will be going to client sites to fix their forklifts. They will be mostly working on propane forklifts (sit down or stand up). This position will require experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining lift trucks/forklifts. The position will start off working in the shop, as the employee will be paired up with a sr. partner before they are ever sent out on the road. Once operations are learned, the employee will be expected to go out on the road (Northern VA territory) and perform maintenance on lifts for clients. Typically things they will be fixing are starters, batteries, fuel issues, hoses, harness, and more. If the problem is too big they will take the forklift back to their shop in Maryland.
We are looking for someone with experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts. There is a strong emphasis on hydraulics.
40% Troubleshooting (figuring out what the problem is Starters, batteries, fuel issues, hoses, harness, and more.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1)5+ years mechanic experience. (Diesel, Auto, Heavy Equipment, Busses, Forklift) Experience working on forklift equipment is a plus, but not required.
2)Blueprint experience is a plus, as they will need to read basic schematics. Candidates must have experience working with hand and pneumatic tools.
3)Any welding (MIG/TIG) experience is a plus, but not required. Qualified candidates will have their own basic hand tools.
4)Experience working on starters, batteries, fuel issues, hoses, harness, and more.
