This position is for a Maintenance Technician within a food processing company where they have high speed packaging equipment, sizing equipment, hopping, splitting and other shaping equipment for chicken, both frozen, chilled or partially fried.

Employees will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing. The role will be working both mechanically and electrically, working with electrical panels and up to 480v. The break down of mechanical to electrical would be 70-30% of the time.

Responsibilities include

Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and keeping the facility running for production

Work under GMPs and ensure that all health and safety standards

Experience in working with high speed packaging equipment and problem solving any issues

Required to work safely with 480v and other electrical issue that come up

Follow preventative maintenance plan as directed by manager

Job Requirements

Looking for Entry Level Maintenance that have attended a Trade School, learning industrial electric

\*\*Coyne College is strongly preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints along with schematics

Able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems through a written test

Own their own basic set of tools (if they are entry, not necessarily required)

Additional Information

Pay - $16-18/hr

Contract/Placement Type - 6 Month Contract to Hire

Shift Schedule (THESE ARE 1st Shift Positions but will train on 2nd Shift for 1 month)

1st Shift 5:30am to 3pm

2nd Shift 2:30pm to 11:45pm

3rd Shift 11pm to 6:30pm

\*\*30 Minutes Paid Lunch, no scheduled breaks due to production but breaks are offered.

Candidates will typically work 6 Days, need to be open to weekends, their days off will usually be 1 weekend day and 1 weekday. IF candidates work Sunday thru Saturday, they will receive double time for the hours worked on Sunday.

With the schedule they can be flexible in scheduling time off, would ideally like a 2 weeks heads up but as little as 5 days will be acceptable.

For candidates first day, they will start at 11am working an 8 hour shift, they should ask for Paula Santiago (Trainer)

If a Contractor works Sunday thru Saturday, they will receive Double Time Pay for Hours Worked on Sunday Only and they have to work Sunday thru Saturday. No other variations to the schedule will qualify. Normal 1.5X Overtime will be paid for hours over 40 in a week.

Candidates will be given two levels of testing, if they pass Level 1 (Score 20/24 or higher) the pay rate offered is $16/hr and if Level 2 is passed they receive $18/hr (All testing can be retaken after 2 months to qualify for raises)

Maintain the work order and repair logs as necessary

First Day/First Week Expectations

They have start dates that can happen any day of the week. Candidates will go through some basic GMP training and before they are working/shadowing on the floor they need to be LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) trained with the Safety Manager.
