Additional Skills & Qualifications:
7 years minimum experience in maintenance in a manufacturing field.
Familiarity with various process systems including steam, glycol, chilled water, compressed air, etc. and associated equipment including boilers, industrial chillers, cooling towers, etc.
Extensive knowledge and experience in repairing, installing, and preparing piping in various materials (Stainless Steel, BMI, Fiberglass, etc.).
Experience in diagnosing issues with, and performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs on, various mechanical equipment including vacuum pumps, centrifugal pumps, compressors, etc.
Experience with minor electrical systems including 120v equipment wiring, replacing fuses in equipment subpanels, resetting breakers, etc.
Familiarity with equipment utilized in processing systems such as various dryers, filters, agitators, etc.
General construction knowledge and familiarity with a variety of commonly used tools and equipment.
Experience with welding, pipe threading, epoxy patches for fiberglass piping and general knowledge of other repair techniques for maintaining plant operations.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., and have the ability to stand, walk, and climb, and occasionally perform other physically demanding duties.
Valid drivers license.
This job spends extended periods of time in an environment that is not air conditioned around hot equipment. This position works with and around hazardous materials, personal protective equipment is provided and use is mandatory when working around these materials.
This job requires lifting of up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods of time.
