We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to join our team. The primary role of the Mobile Engineer is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and facilities. This position requires technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, while also being multi-skilled in others.
Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure they meet applicable standards.
* Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper function and system upkeep.
* Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
* Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
* Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation.
* Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
* Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
* Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
* Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas, and recognize danger and safety hazards, proposing methods to eliminate them.
Essential Skills
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
* Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.
* EPA 608 Type II Certification.
* Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
* Valid drivers license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* EPA 608 Universal Certification.
* Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

Work Environment
This is a nonunion position supporting the Columbus, GA, and surrounding areas. Work is typically performed Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional after-hours work as needed. The role involves servicing 20-30 different customers, with efforts made to keep travel within an hour from your residence, all within an 8-hour day.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
