PCI provides Calibration, Commissioning & Consulting solutions to our clients across multiple regulated industries including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, food & beverage and more. We are seeking a Calibration Technician II with Instrumentation and Controls experience in life sciences (cGMP facilities) to add to our growing company. This Calibration Technician II position provides calibration support to one or more of our Fremont, CA and San Fran regional client facilities. Calibration technicians visit manufacturing plants and laboratories to calibrate, troubleshoot, install, or audit various equipment and loop systems. We work closely with the engineering and maintenance departments at the client facility to ensure the calibrations are performed accurately and in compliance with the FDA and/or ISO guidelines. Some of the equipment requiring calibration include:

Torque Wrench
Timer
Scale
Micro bath
Incubator, Freezer
pH meter, Pressure gauge
RH & Temperature chart recorder
Centrifuge

Military equivalent experience may include PMEL, 2P0X1, TMDE, Metrology and/or Electronics. Calibration Technicians are trained on the job to learn new instrumentation, and FDA and ISO documentation requirements.

The Calibration Technician II will also be responsible for cGMP compliant documentation and monitoring of quality systems. Along with documenting the calibrations performed, the instrumentation data and schedule will be maintained in a CMMS database. SAP, ProCal, RAM or Maximo experience is desired.

Required skills of the Calibration Technician II include:

A four-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, other related technical field or equivalent military training and two years of applicable (Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration) experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Quality System/Pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

The Calibration Technician II position requires overnight travel based on project and client needs, up to 75% for this position and region.
