SHINE Medical Technologies is immediately seeking several Mechanical Engineers reporting to the Engineering Manager who have an opportunity to work on a first of a kind nuclear system design from the ground up in manufacturing plant being designed for nuclear pharmaceuticals.

These positions will specifically focus on supporting the design and development of chemical process systems which ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the facility.

Key responsibilities include supporting the design and implementation of systems for the recovery of Mo-99 from an irradiated uranium solution. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of a wide variety of systems. Experience in performing equipment sizing calculations as well as selecting equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves and control equipment is highly desired. Experience performing pipe stress analysis and piping support design is also desirable. The design experience should include the ability to coordinate the licensing requirements to the design requirements. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience leading multi-discipline teams that involve both internal and external design organizations.

We are seeking a candidate with at least a Bachelorís degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. In addition, a minimum of five years of recent mechanical design engineering experience in highly regulated industries is preferred.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicantís ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls (U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee or Refugee). Additionally, applicantís eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
