Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Direct Hire

One of our clients, a prestigious Electric Utility has an urgent need for a Project Manager. This is a permanent (in-house) position, with a highly respected utility. This Utility is known for its excellent work culture and has been recognized as “One of the Best Places to Work”. This career opportunity is located in a very enjoyable climate (no more snow shoveling!), which also features a high quality lifestyle including, fishing, hiking, boating and other outdoor activities! This location is just minutes from a large metropolitan area accompanied by big city amenities and an international airport making for easy travel. Our client is offering an excellent compensation package including benefits, company funded pension plan and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities/Duties include not limited to:
As Project Manager you will be responsible for a wide variety of engineering projects through all phases of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Close Out. You will execute and oversee the scope, budget and schedule of all assigned engineering projects. You will provide oversight for the efforts of the staff, other departments and third party contractors to produce the required deliverables and quality. You will monitor and evaluate project, vendor and procurement performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary. You will coordinate the validation, organization, storage of, access to and change management of engineering technical records such as plant drawings and other technical information, etc..

The qualified candidate for Project Manager MUST have:

• Minimum three (3) plus years of experience as a Project Manager working on Electric Utility Projects.
• An additional Five (5) plus years of overall Project Management experience.
• BS Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field is strongly desired.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is strongly desired.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Willingness to relocate to the Southern Region of the US.
