LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION OFFERED AT THIS TIME.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of routine and emergency duties following standard procedures to control systems to supply electricity, steam, HVAC, water (including cooling, fire, domestic, process and chilled) and compressed air to a variety of administrative and nuclear production facilities. Operates/maintains chemical neutralization and sanitary waste water facilities. Maintains water, physical chemical and waste water operator certifications.
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Valid Driver’s License
•Minimum “D” Level Biological Water Treatment License required.
•May be required to wear protective clothing, safety and respiratory equipment.
•Meet physical requirements for the essential job duties, which may include being able to handle 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, exposure to extreme temperature and wearing protective clothing/equipment.
•Oral and written communication skills.
•Able to work in a team environment.
•A security clearance is not required at time of hire, however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
•Work from standard and special procedures and supervisory direction.
•Supports and control many systems (high voltage switching, process steam, coolingwater, domestic water, sanitary waste water systems, fire water supply and distribution system, etc.)
•Operate equipment such as electrical breakers, backup generators, pumps, air compressors, boilers, support equipment for steam distribution, support equipment for process cooling water, drinking water and fire protection water production, analysis and distribution, sanitary waste water collection and treatment.
•Perform operational tasks such as starting and shutdown of equipment, perform chemical analysis, handle water treatment chemicals, and perform Hazardous Energy Control activities.
•Perform minor maintenance on operating equipment.
•Required to work in a production environment.
•Attend classroom or on-the-job training as directed.
•Required to perform additional duties as determined by supervision.
•May be required to complete Rad Worker Training and perform task specific functions.
