The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for general civil work design.
Work includes: Storm Water calculations and drawings, site plan drawing development, finish grade drawings and construction support activities supporting these deliverables. Support all state site permits necessary and requested by ES&H. Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to less experienced partners and participate in establishing scope, schedule and cost controls consistent with their unit and compatible with Project Objectives. Serve as the technical expert on projects. Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure conformance to engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
 Produce technically correct constructible, engineered design drawings, calculations, reports and specifications.
 Act as a resource for less experienced team members and motivate others to meet project objectives.
 Perform a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of the project.
 Support the procurement and construction phase of the project.
 Anticipate customer needs and identify the solution.
 Apply in-depth skill and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard solutions.
 Forecast and plan resource requirements.
 Explain difficult design concepts and obtain consensus on the design approach.
 Develop the project design basis.
 Manage cost and schedule.
 Ensure effective change management.
Required Software Skills:
 Bentley Microstation
 SmartPlant Review and AutoCad
 Microsoft Office Suite
 Bachelorís degree in Engineering or Construction Engineering, with seven years of engineering experience
 Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, techniques and criteria
 Knowledge of design specific CAD Software programs
 Ability to manage multiple tasks
 Strong written and oral communication skills
 PE License
 Skill in conducting research, investigation and problem solving
 Experience in nuclear construction environment
