Provide occupational safety and industrial hygiene (OS&IH) support and services within the Soil & Groundwater Remediation Project. Assist in problem-solving and requirements implementation. Partner with bargaining unit Safety Reps in helping resolve both project-specific and programmatic issues. Conduct OS&IH field assessments, inspections and walk downs to evaluate conditions and ensure compliance. Participate in critiques, incident investigations, and corrective action management. Develop and implement strategies in support of OS&IH initiatives/enhancements. Support implementation of 10 CFR 851. Assist the VP and Directors, and Managers, as required, in performance of Safety & Health related tasks. Provide OS&IH oversight to direct and subcontracted work activities.
BS/BA in a related field and 2-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of well drilling and experience with various drilling equipment for the drilling, constructing, and developing of wells.
Two years’ experience with ISMS/VPP principles and processes.
A minimum of one of the following Certifications:
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST)
Duration: Through 9/30/2018 with option year through 09/30/2019.
