RFQ Number 386981 Security Classification Analyst

Provide classification support the SRNS NNSA organization. This support includes: Classification Determination, Declassification reviews, training and awareness of classification issues, conducting assessments and coordination with NNSA. Candidate must have a working knowledge of scientific and technical requirements for nuclear material processing and weapons programs. Must have working knowledge of fissionable and tritium weapons production programs. Must have working knowledge of computer applications needed to support scientific computations and document control systems. Candidate must use interdisciplinary knowledge, professional experience and technical judgment to classification and declassification determinations. Candidate will be required to consult and advise on immediate and long-term NNSA needs and develop creative solutions to complex technical programs.
Candidate shall provide effective classification support for legacy documents where classification guidance has changed to ensure documents are reviewed and brought to current standards.
Candidate to support the classification function within the SRNS NNSA organization, working with both the M&O Classification Officer and the NNSA-SRFO Classification Officer to ensure compliance and consistent interpretation of classification guidance. Represent NNSA interest within the National Security Enterprise.
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, preferred engineering.
Candidate must possess a minimum 20 years tritium weapons program and classification experience. Candidate must have strong problem solving and analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Computer experience in basic software application, Excel and Microsoft Word.
Nominal 40 hours per week. Flexible schedule to accommodate SRTE Management needs
