SHINE is immediately seeking an individual with strong quality assurance skills in a highly regulated environment. The position will report directly to the Quality Manager. This person will develop and execute the company Quality Program and implement procedures, as well as identify opportunities and company-wide improvements in engineering, construction and operations. The individual in this role will drive the development of and facilitate changes to our standard operating procedures, polices, and other technical documentation along with mentoring co-workers and internal customers on quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., NRC, DOE, cGMP, GLPs). Additionally, the qualified individual will perform various supplier, contractor and internal assessments and monitor construction contractors’ QA/QC activities.

Candidates with a degree are preferred, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear, pharmaceutical, device, diagnostic or medical fields and appropriate education. The right candidate will be able to work independently and apply the critical thinking necessary to draw conclusions from a variety of assessments. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, as well as interface with clients, contractors and suppliers. Candidates who have various certifications including but not limited to, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other Quality certifications is desired.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee or Refugee). Also, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards information which typically requires pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
