Position Description:
• Responsible for ensuring video traffic from site to E-IVVI headquarters in Wilmington, NC
• Respond quickly to requests for support from other E-IVVI personnel in regards to E-IVVI computer systems.
• Provide detailed reporting during outage to managers (daily status reports) and upon completion of outage (Outage Major Issues, Lessons Learned, Suggestions for Improvement).
• Monitor system performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Logs issues, hardware/software into bug tracking software

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently to complete tasks.
• Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access at Nuclear Power Plants.

Technical Requirements:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware / software
• Networking knowledge, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Cisco
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP Professional
• Some Experience with Red Hat Enterprise or other Linux variant
• Ability to restore workstations from cloned disk images

Physical Requirements:
• Must pass a site physical/medical exam
• Ability to lift 10 lbs. minimum
• Dress out for 1-3 hours at a time on the refuel floor
• Must be able to sit at a desk for shift work on the computer

Other Information:
• Per Diem while on Outage Assignment (if not local to job): $135.00/day (Meals, Lodging & Incidentals - hotel booked by employee)
• Travel: Booked by employee. Flight & Rental Cars are reimbursed on weekly expense reports
• Travel In Day: 8 hours of pay + $135.00/d Per Diem
• Travel Out Day: 8 hours of pay + up to $40.00 Meal Expense
• Benefits: No Benefits upon hire, eligibility reviewed each year based on hours worked (1560/yr to be eligible)

Please note the following:
• 100% travel
• 2 week training class in August in Wilmington NC
• Outage seasons – Fall and Spring — Fall (Sept to Dec) & Spring (Jan-May)
• Selected employees hourly employees and will be paid for actual hours worked.
• This is not a full time position where employees are paid 52 weeks a year. The job is outage season based, where the work months are spring and fall. Typical months off are May-August.
• Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
