Perform the installation, inspection, calibration, maintenance and repair of complex equipment, which employ pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, chemical, optical, electronic or electrical principles of operation. Attends classroom, on-the-job, and other type of training as deemed necessary by management.

DUTIES:

Perform simple or routine maintenance activities based on skills and knowledge attained from training and previous experience. Work from approved standard and special procedures. Complete work orders, service requests and stores orders. Follow/comply with applicable Safety and RadCon policies and procedures. Develop and perform lockouts. Interpret and use drawings. Operate motorized vehicles and associated equipment within licensing limits. Perform incidental rigging on equipment. Assemble and/or fabricate mechanical apparatus from material and parts. Overhaul mechanical equipment such as; compressors, pumps, agitators, gear drives and fans returning their performance to design standards. Inspect and/or test parts and assemblies to determine functional condition. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic pneumatic systems to diagnose problems. May be required to perform specific operations functions where specific module training has been provided. May qualify on and perform a specialized task such as welding, machining or HVAC. Thorough knowledge of 13.8kv electrical substation maintenance practices. Perform a wide variety of moderately complex, and diverse functions directly or indirectly in support of area Systems, Commodities and Utilities.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified Electrical Worker
Qualified to calibrate a wide variety of electro-mechanical, solid state, and digital relays
And meters using the latest technology and computer software.
Must have 13.8kV and electrical relay calibration experience.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent and 2-4 years
Experience or
Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent and 6-8 years
experience
OR
High School Diploma/GED and 10-12 years of related experience.

Experience/Skills:
Meet physical requirements for the essential job duties, which may include being able to handle 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, exposure to extreme temperature and wearing protective clothing/equipment.

Must have passed ACT WorkKeys tests to be considered for employment.


Oral and written communication skills.

Able to work in a team environment.

Work Hours:
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday (30 minute lunch)


Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not required at time of hire, however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
