SUPPORTS COORDINATION OF NUCLEAR SITE MATERIAL INVENTORY BY ATTENDING AND PROVIDING SUPPLY CHAIN REPRESENTATION IN SITE MEETINGS. OORDINATES WITH PLANT MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE AN AWARENESS OF THE LATEST STATUS OF PLANT MATERIAL NEEDS FOR ALL PLANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDING MAJOR AND FORCED OUTAGES; COMMUNICATING WITH SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, VENDORS, MATERIAL ANALYSTS, PROCUREMENT AGENTS, MATERIAL HANDLERS, ETC., TO ENSURE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF INVENTORY STRATEGIES AND SPECIFIC STATE OF EXISTING INVENTORY AND AVAILABILITY; AND COMMITTING MATERIAL RESOURCES ON BEHALF OF THE PLANT SITE PROCUREMENT ORGANIZATION REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY, STATUS, TIME-FRAME, OPTIONS AND ALTERNATIVES FOR THE PLANT REQUESTED MATERIALS. FOLLOWS UP THROUGH THE PLANT SUPPLY CHAIN TO ENSURE THAT COMMITMENTS MADE DURING SITE MEETINGS ARE MET. KNOWLEDGE OF SUPPLY CHAIN SOFTWARE AND REPORTING SYSTEMS AND BASIC INVENTORY MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES. ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WELL BOTH ORALLY AND IN WRITING WITH ENGINEERING, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS MANAGERS, SITE MANAGEMENT UP TO AND INCLUDING THE SITE VICE PRESIDENT, SUPPLIERS, AND SUPPLY CHAIN SUPPORT PERSONNEL. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE REPORTS AND DATA AND DETERMINE PROBLEM AREAS AND RECOMMEND SOLUTIONS. CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE BASED ON POSITION / ACCESS REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. A B.S. DEGREE IN A BUSINESS OR SUPPLY CHAIN-RELATED FIELD OF STUDY; OR EQUIVALENT EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCEFOUR OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND/OR SUPPLY CHAIN-RELATED FUNCTIONS SUCH AS PROCUREMENT, INVENTORY ANALYSIS, BUSINESS PLANNING. COMPLETION OF CM/CA TRAINING MODULES.
Education – A B.S. degree in a business or supply chain-related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience.
Experience – Three or more years of experience in business management and/or supply chain-related functions such as procurement, inventory analysis, material planning, material take-offs, bill of material development.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Knowledge of supply chain software and reporting systems and basic inventory management practices and procedures. Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing with engineering, maintenance and operations managers, site management up to and including the site Vice President, suppliers, and supply chain support personnel. Must have the ability to analyze reports and data and determine problem areas and recommend solutions. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions. Start Time: 7:00 AM
Hours: 5:45am to 5:00pm Location: PICKWICK DAM TN 38365
Additional Job Details: This position will support the in-progress PKH Plant Unit 2 Hydro Major Maintenance Project scheduled for completion in October 2019. This is a full-time forty-hour position working on-site at the PKH Plant for the Projects Team. There will be no Per Diem, Mileage, or Temporary Living Allowance provided for this position as the Project is not funded for these expenses for this position. The individual applying for this position will be required to demonstrate working knowledge of; Maximo, Microsoft Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), etc., will be required to work in a Hydro Plant environment, will need to have a high attention to detail, be able to work in a collaborative team environment, support the Safety culture including performing documented Safety observations, will need to be able to walk up and down stairs, and perform other duties as required. The time zone for this position is Central Time.
