We are looking for a qualified Industrial Hygienist to perform the following:
Provide professional IH and IS technical and field support for the Central Plateau Risk Management Project.
Provide support for field implementation of IH and IS program requirements, and maintain a strong field presence during project work activities. Participate in work planning, hazard analyses, event critique meetings, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
Develop industrial hygiene exposure assessment documents, safety reports, correspondence, and communications.
Assist in the integration of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS)/Voluntary Protection Program (VPP); support implementation of 10 CFR 851.
Provide support to the company in industrial hygiene program requirements. Develop and implement effective and efficient methods for controlling and eliminating occupational health hazards. Provides input/interface into the job hazard analysis processes and performs exposure monitoring as required.
Candidate shall possess the requisite knowledge and experience to operate industrial hygiene equipment for the purposes of monitoring and sampling the work environment to evaluate potential worker exposures.
BS degree in industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate must be capable of meeting physical requirements for working in a hazardous waste environment, work in a radiological environment, and be able to wear respiratory protection equipment.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is desired but not required. Previous DOE site
experience or other nuclear facility experience.
Estimated Duration of Assignment: Award – 09/30/2019.
