This position is responsible for managing, planning, designing, developing, and implementing business systems related to, but not exclusive of, the Business Management System (BMS). The Project Manager (PM) will assure the successful delivery of -IT services to the Projects. The PM will be at the forefront in identifying opportunities for innovations and enhancements to further the Hanford mission with Information Technology.

Lead teams in gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, system projects, enhancing and correcting processes. Apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to maximize IT system investment. Working directly and coordinating with leadership, software developer staff, IT infrastructure staff, business systems owners and end users to define requirements and systems goals to assure the systems meet the Hanford mission needs. Requires coordination and communication with the other Hanford contractors as these are shared systems. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Conduct research into software application products and services
• Manage system upgrade support including testing
• Maintain system documentation
• Develop system strategies to support the Business Integration & Operations needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with the Business Integration & Operations customers
• Ability to motivate diverse teams (functional & technical)
• Ability to be a change agent
• Develop software documentation such as software management plans, system requirements, test plans, etc.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• Predict risk factors and eliminate it for the successful completion of the project.

The project manager will work directly with managers, other project managers, software engineers, and customer subject matter experts.

• U.S. Citizen.
• BA/BS Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or related field, plus 5 years’ experience in Information Technology including implementing, operating and supporting enterprise application systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Strong problem solving/analytical skills. Leadership involvement and experience.
• Demonstrate functional and project leadership skills.
• Experience managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Proven track record of success leading teams (budget and schedule), as well as team building and team motivation.
• Ability to work resource and priorities with customers.
• Ability to support a staff of technical and functional subject matter experts during nonstandard business hours.

• Familiarity with the following software:
• Oracle’s PeopleSoft application software (Finance & HR).
• Workday (Finance & HR).
• Ventyx Asset Suite application software (Supply Chain).
• Infor (Supply Chain).
• Crystal reporting or other reporting
• Experience implementing and/or upgrading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Familiar with Cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) business solutions.
• Thorough understanding of software development metrics, software process and configuration management.
• Familiar with Business Intelligence Software.
