LOTUS NOTES DEVELOPER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The developer will be maintaining legacy Notes applications and assisting in application re-platforming efforts to alternative platforms. Additionally, the developer is responsible for compliance with departmental policies and processes and for performing all duties and activities in a safe and ethical manner.
1. Maintenance and Revisioning of Existing Applications
a) Perform maintenance duties to ensure continued operations of existing production applications.
b) Gather design changes and problems/issues for revising existing production applications.
c) Manage the change cycle through coding, testing, acceptance and production rollout.
d) Perform analysis, design, coding and/or testing to effectively migrate existing applications to alternative platforms.
2. Problem analysis and resolution
a) Fix causes, not just solutions. Work to eliminate recurring problems and improve supportability.
b) Watch for trends that indicate potential problems and then eliminate the problems before they happen.
a) Keep peers and STR informed of trends, significant problems, unexpected delays and anything new in the environment.
b) Keep customers informed of global problems, scheduled downtime or anything that affects the computing environment.
c) Keep customers informed of progress on problems that cannot be resolved on first call
d) Participate in group problem solving: communicate effectively, respect ideas of others, identify win-win outcomes, accept the judgment of the group.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Position requires a 4-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with 4 years proven performance in related assignment(s); or a non-related 4 year degree with 6 years proven performance in related assignment(s); or a 2 year degree with 8 years proven performance in related assignment(s). In lieu of degree, a high school diploma and at least 10 additional years of relevant information technology is acceptable.
Five (5) years of experience (7 years, if no degree) in developing/supporting Notes applications in:
1) Lotus Notes Client
2) Domino version 9
4) Formula Language
5) Lotus Connectors
Three (3) years of experience with and working knowledge of:
1) Windows 7 or 10
2) Visual Studio 2017 (or higher)
4) NET 4.0 (or higher) Framework
5) React and/or Angular (1.2 or higher)
7) SQL Server 2012 (or higher) and/or Oracle 11g (or higher)
While performing the duties of this job, the developer is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the developer will have a space exposed to normal noise level in the work environment.
A 40-hour work week excluding SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.
