[Electrical Engineer] Engineer, II - Sr (Nuc) (87937)

***This position will be filled as an Engineer II, III, or Sr. based on qualifications.***


JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for the implementation of major fleet project capitalization and the delivery of safe, reliable and timely capital modifications for River Bend Station.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, plan, coordinate, and implement capital modifications to meet the site needs within the organization capability.
Implement corrective actions process and learnings to improve modification development and execution.
Ensure that fleet lessons learned and good practices are shared and implemented.
Ensure that resources are shared across the fleet to improve efficiency.
Work closely with the Project Management department and site design organization to ensure the efficient implementation of modifications.
Support modification installation during refueling outages or other periods.

Minimum education required of the position

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T credited educational institution or other B.S. engineering degree from an A.B.E.T. credited educational institution that is closely associated with nuclear power plant operations and engineering design.

Desired: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and/or Chemical Engineers with experience in the other disciplines listed may be considered as well.


Minimum experience required of the position

Engineer, II: 2 3 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
Engineer, III: 3 5 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
Engineer, Sr: 6+ years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired or would be a plus: SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR or Professional Engineering license.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position


Good to excellent communication skills. Experience / proficiency in PC use and applications, depending upon engineering level.

Highly Desired:

Either a SRO license or Professional Engineering license would be considered a plus for hiring at the upper-level range of the engineering position (e.g., Senior Engineer).
Proven effective skills as an engineering team member at a commercial operating nuclear power plant in the U.S. Experience using engineering change and work management of ABB/Indus Asset Suite. We will apply the level of the position commensurate with the education and experience level of the candidate, up to Senior Engineer.
