Provide Civil Site Designer staff augmentation support to SRNS. Primary responsibilities include site layout, site grading, and stormwater systems; surface design using 2D/3D Intergraph MicroStation and Bentley In-Roads; preparation of earthwork quantities; above ground and underground utilities including routing; and coordination and resolution of conflicts with site survey, design and construction personnel for field related activities.
Design services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
Associate degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of civil site design experience or 10 years of civil site design experience.
Formal training in 2D/3D Intergraph MicroStation and Bentley in-Roads is preferred.
Candidate must demonstrate significant, recent (within the last 3 years) civil site design experience utilizing 2D/3D Intergraph MicroStation and Bentley In-Roads software. Candidate must have the ability to produce design drawings for site layout, site grading (plan and cross sections), roadway layout and profiles, above ground/underground utilities, and stormwater drainage structures. Candidate must have ability to perform measurements and prepare earthwork quantities.
Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective clothing and environments where a respirator is required.
Previous SRS Design Engineering experience is preferred.
Area Security Access:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
