Targeted activities/duties will include:
• Reviewing the quality assurance program description and supporting procedures, advise where improvements in effectiveness and efficiency may be realized
• Assisting in the consolidation and “right-sizing” of quality program documentation, with an aim towards reducing the administrative burden of their implementation and management, without compromising program effectiveness
• Evaluating organizational structures and charters and make recommendations where improvements in effectiveness or efficiency may be realized
• Assisting in the development of training and briefing materials
Bachelors degree in a technical field is desirable.
Selected candidates shall be a recognized expert, with a minimum of fifteen-years experience, as a prime contractor within the DOE R&D/Laboratory complex for development and implementation of quality management programs in accordance with DOE Order 414 (as well as consensus-based standards used private sector (e.g. ISO 9001). Demonstrated experience defining and overseeing QA programs in support of DOE 413 projects is highly desirable. Most interested in demonstrated experience and program success.
The bulk of the work will be performed remotely. Travel to/from site to meet with staff up to approximately 3 times during the course of job is anticipated if/when COVID-19 travel restrictions and on-site conditions allow. The required level of effort is estimated to be approximately 400 hours over the period of performance.
