System One is seeking quality inspectors for NDE and Dimensional/Mechanical inspections at a fabrication facility in Kernersville, NC. The qualified candidate will perform at random, NDE (RT) and dimensional inspections for in-process activities on piece parts or large fabricated components.
Additional job responsibilities will include the following:
Perform RT (radiography) inspections for in-process activities on piece parts or large fabricated components
Perform at random, dimensional inspections for in-process activities on piece parts or large fabricated components.
Perform inspections with traditional metrology such as micrometers, calipers, PI tapes, etc.
Communicate with manufacturing and quality personnel for upcoming inspections and/or completion of inspections.
Perform hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and/or load testing on large fabricated components.
Perform NDE functions including VT, PT and UTT on either small or large fabricated components.
May act as lead.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
High school graduate plus 8 years related experience. Associate Degree in a technical discipline plus 4 years’ experience preferred.
Strong knowledge base and use of metrology equipment, GD&T, and blueprint reading skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend concise and comprehensive procedures or work instructions.
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff, management and manufacturing personnel.
Strong ability to multitask.
Previous certifications for NDE methods that meet SNT-TC-1A requirements.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
Prior work experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Nuclear quality assurance experience.
Proven knowledge of related engineering and quality assurance standards, techniques and criteria.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good problem identification resolution skills.
