[Financial Manager] Wisconsin based NRC Approved Construction Project – Financial Systems Manager

SHINE Medical Technologies is immediately seeking a Financial Systems Manager who will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in addition to transforming financial practices by thoroughly documenting finance and accounting processes, identifying areas for improvement, and propose solutions that will support the organization’s strategic plan. Particular focus of this role is facilitating discussions with business stakeholders and translating conceptual ideas into business systems requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Overall ERP responsibility for implementation as well as ongoing enhancements and maintenance, which is the central component of the company’s financial systems
Ensure proper integration of related financial systems and other packages to the ERP system (i.e. banking, payroll, CRM)
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring of internal controls for all finance systems
Work closely with lead positions in each area to plan and manage the design, testing and implementation of the financial systems and subsystems
Develop new finance system procedures and identify areas where training is needed; make needed modifications to training manuals; supervise the conversion of data to the finance system and reconcile to ensure data integrity
Translating requirements and documentation for all audiences, technical, financial and end-user
Researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements
Establishes best practices for financial systems use and ensures that these practices are used throughout the organization
Work closely with Information Technology and department Directors to identify and resolve system problems
Respond to and address, within appropriate parameters, the day-to-day issues of the finance department as they relate to accounting systems
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
Manage and evaluate system security
Coordinate with management committee and perform regular analysis of projects
Create and approve journal entries as needed
Prepare spreadsheets and closing schedules for annual financial report
Perform various high-level accounting functions such as account reconciliation, complex analysis, and financial reporting
Direct and train staff relating to system modifications as needed
Plan for and assist with all internal and external audits
Manages financial systems analysts and trains departmental staff as needed
Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
Perform related duties as assigned

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, graduate degree in business or related field
Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience
Strong knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), planning tool software and related technologies
Commitment to meet deadlines and ability to effectively manage competing work priorities
Strong project management experience including the ability to simultaneously manage several projects
Ability to communicate effectively and to make effective and persuasive presentations on technical or complex matters to all levels of constituents
Expert-level analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent computer skills including working with databases and spreadsheets, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups and multi-IF formulas), and experience using Microsoft Word, Access, and PowerPoint
Attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent analytical skills
Experience in budgeting and planning
Preferred Qualifications

Public accounting experience a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a financial certification a plus
Strong knowledge of G.A.A.P.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
