Wisconsin based NRC Approved Construction Project – Radiopharmaceutical Technician

SHINE Medical Technologies is immediately seeking a Radio-pharmaceutical Technician to assist in the design and oversee the fabrication and installation of hot cells for performing remote manipulations for medical isotope production facility operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with engineering to fabricate parts for, assemble, and optimize hot cell mockups or prototypes.
Provide input and review of design documents for the fabrication and installation of a series of hot cells to serve the needs of a medical isotope production facility.
Write standard operating procedures for the use of facility hot cells.
Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of a training program for facility hot cell operators.
Participate in a training program that, upon successful completion, will result in qualification as a hot cell operator for a medical isotope production facility.
Extract and purify medical isotopes within a hot cell using remote manipulators.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other relevant engineering technology or physical science field.
Previous experience using remote manipulators in an industrial or laboratory setting.
Previous experience performing laboratory-scale chemistry (i.e., research, pharmaceutical preparations, quality testing, etc.) is desired.
Previous experience using machine shop equipment and hand tools is preferred.
Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
