QA Manager needed for full time position. Nuclear Experience a must. Ensure proper development of Quality Assurance processes and procedures to define and control the auditing process, both internal and external, and other QA/QC functions that ensures regulatory compliance, adequate process control, process improvement, testing and inspection, promotes customer satisfaction and positively impact the performance
Performs duties of the Management Representative, a position appointed by senior management with the responsibility and authority of ensuring that processes needed for the quality management systems are established, implemented and maintained. Reporting to senior management on the performance of the quality management systems and any need for improvement, and ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Develop a qualified and certified team according to regulatory requirements, codes and standards, and site procedures that is capable of participating in internal and external quality audits, ISO 9001 and 14001 audits that ensure regulatory compliance and ISO Standards conformance which promotes customer satisfaction and provides for continuous improvement in the performance of client.
Develop and manage the Quality Assurance department budget of approximately $1M to $1.5M.
Ensure QA personnel are adequately trained and capable of performing root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
Ensure the Approved Suppliers List is properly developed and maintained to identify qualified suppliers and the program to monitor supplier performance is established.
Ensure processes are in place to review purchase orders, contracts and change requests to ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
Direct the establishment and implementation of metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
Serve as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Manage quality assurance and quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
Manage an accurate filing system for Quality Assurance and Employee Concerns Program records and reports
Establish and maintain working relationships with employee concerns professionals to ensure best practices are implemented.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety conscious work environment in a nuclear facility.
Broad knowledge of statistics and statistical process control.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with peers, staff, management, and vendors at all organizational levels in order to successfully meet needs.
Ability to conduct employee concerns investigations.
Experience in quality systems.
Knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.
