TFE, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for the following position:

Work Planner

THIS POSITION WILL CLOSE Tuesday, September 22nd.

Location: UCOR – Oak Ridge, TN
Pay Range: $40-$66/hr
Per Diem: No
Duration: Full-time

The following explains the job responsibilities and expectations for all employees who are classified in this job description. SUMMARY:
TFE is seeking a Work Planner to provide support for one of our clients.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
1.Familiar with established policies, methods, and practices of the Company
2.Provides day-to-day support to projects to ensure; 1) compliance with policies, requirements, and procedures and; 2) objectives are met or exceeded
3.Maintains knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner, and, if supervising others, has responsibility for the safety of those being supervised; and ensures they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/JOB DUTIES:
1.High School diploma or equivalent.
2.The candidate has a working knowledge of Microsoft Word AND At least 3 years’ experience as a planner, journeyman in a technical trade or maintenance related trade, preferably in the DOE or commercial nuclear industry OR an A.S. Degree or equivalent with two years technical writing experience preferably related to the DOE or commercial nuclear industry.
3.Scope, draft and facilitate approval of work instructions Draft and facilitate approval of Job Hazard Analysis (hazard identification, analysis, and control selection process)
4.Assists the work supervisor in defining the work scope and requirements for work planning packages
5.Assists the facility manager in evaluating if a work scope requires a work planning package
6.Coordinates the work planning process with the work supervisor, the facility manager, and the work planning team
7.Interfaces with various subject matter experts to ensure safety, quality and technical requirements are evaluated in the work planning process and incorporated into the work package
8.Reviews lessons learned and incorporates relevant information into the work package
9.Develops draft work documents and job specific hazard analyses
10.Coordinates and facilitates work planning team walkdown and tabletop reviews of the work package and job specific hazard analysis
11.Performs revisions to work packages and job specific hazard analysis as required
12.Reviews work planning feedback from post-job reviews and other sources
13.Participates in conducting assessments, as requested
14.Ensure accurate recordkeeping—maintain records in accordance with applicable Records Inventory and Disposition Schedules (RIDS)
15.Assist in requested design reviews, procedure reviews, proposal reviews, cost/benefit analysis, and the review
16.Completes work assignments with a high level of personal accountability, teamwork, initiative, and quality
17.Performs other tasks, as assigned
