Craft Supervisor/Instrument Supervisor
This position will close Monday, October 19th, 2020.
Pay Range: $40-$58/hr
Per Diem: No
Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.

TFE is seeking a Craft Supervisor/Instrument Supervisor to provide support for one of our clients.
1.Understanding of process operations and system design
2.In depth knowledge of Process Controls Instrumentation and Loop Calibrations
3.In depth knowledge of Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) and calibration traceability
4.Ability to converse with various manufactures to obtain calibration information
5.Ability to maintain and coordinate calibration data records.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/JOB DUTIES:
1.Minimum of AS Degree in electronics or instrumentation
2.Minimum 10 years’ experience in applicable technical field
3.Proficient with programmable logic control, analog and pneumatic instrumentation, and communications systems
4.Certification in PC repair
5.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
6.Experience in hands-on programming and maintenance of automatic process control systems
7.Experience with configuration control and system integrity verification at the distributed control network and SCADA level
8.Serve as ORNL S&M Instrument Supervisor
9.Train for and serve as technical subject matter expert on Liquid and Gas Waste Operations (LGWO) Bailey System
10.Serve as SME for new instrumentation systems and capital upgrades associated with ORNL Operations/S&M Organization
11.Assist in and manage on-the-job training and qualifications for new instrument mechanics
12.Perform periodic qualification evaluations for instrument mechanics
13.Manage, evaluate, and assign calibration work orders in the ORNL Maintenance Datastream Program
14.Serve as Liaison to ORNL program personnel
15.Ensures Zero Accident safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
16.Responsible for the development and implementation of work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of associated records.
17.Monitors craft work activities and performance relative to budget, schedules, and work completion deadlines.
18.Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, drawings, and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities.
19.Assists in coordination of vendor material deliveries, storage of materials, expediting and engineering reports related to the schedule.
20.Prepares projections and schedules for manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
21.Prepares field change notices, extra work orders and back charge notices.
22.Reviews and interprets project controls documents on progress. Assures the project controls programs are fully automated for use in the field.
23.Inspects fieldwork to evaluate progress, efficiency of operation, cost control, and ensure the safe completion of project work scope.
24.Maintains records of costs and quantity information, evaluates data, and prepares applicable reports a requested by project management utilizing established, standardized automation tools.
25.Supervises the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
26.Administers change notices and amendments, audits contractor requests for progress payments.
27.Supervises installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings and specifications.
28.Supervises preparation of construction drawings and schedules.
29.Reviews and approves specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data to assist and advise on-site.
30.Coordinates with the appropriate site management on activities affecting the contract administration operation.
31.Analyzes assigned activities to determine the scope, time and resource requirements.
32.Determines that vendors' bids for material and/or equipment are in conformance to specifications.
