Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for Project Manager III opportunities for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.

Job Title: Project Manager III

Position Description:

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Surplus Plutonium Disposition (SPD) Project will make modifications within 105-K to process materials and add a new building to house ventilation equipment, diesel generator back up, and power supply system. The process area will contain 3 glove boxes for material processing. A new

+15 level will be added to house ancillary equipment and gaseous fire suppression equipment. The wet fire suppression and detection will be expanded throughout the new facility.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide personnel for SPD construction management support including the following:

• Provide Construction Management services to the SPD Construction Manager

• Lead and participate in execution strategy development, estimate and schedule development, and support development of site prep CD-3A packages and the CD 2/3 Package

• Provide Field Management of construction execution

• Participate in construction risk development

• Participate in construction trend development

• Monitor and manage construction performance

• Provide oversight, leadership, and development to Construction Discipline Engineers, Construction Coordinators, Craft Supervision, etc.


Minimum Qualifications:


PhD or master’s degree with specialized technical training or bachelor’s degree with extensive, highly specialized training, preferred PMP certification.

Experience: Minimum 15 years supporting a commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering, or other task relevant programs or projects; typically, 10 or more years in a management role.


An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Candidate(s) must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
