Will be supporting efforts to upgrade existing instrumentation or conduct complete instrument change outs. Duties will include:
Sourcing new instrumentation parts and equipment such as: flow meters, control valves, and pressure transmitters.
Candidate will be gathering information on the products, and working with internal team members about how to terminate signal parts of existing equipment ,so that the input/output and loop drawings are done correctly.
Candidate will be responsible for researching and looking at instrumentation that works well and doesn't work well with existing instrumentation the client has; then, present options to the team. Administrative functions will include working on an Excel spreadsheet in order to document the electrical documentation.
Knowledge on how to install the instruments/instrumentation is good.
Familiar with instrument data sheets
Knowledgeable of P&IDs
Degree in Engineering with 10+ years of experience, or no degree with 20 years of industry experience.
Knowledge of different types of instrumentation/measuring principles
Experience selecting instrumentation for chemical or radiation environments and performing specifications of the instrumentation.
Demonstrated ability of organizing of the instrumentation, and to work with vendors to narrow down the search of the correct instrumentation needed.
