System One is looking for entry-level quality control inspectors for a QC Inspector Trainee position.
Summary of Position:
The Entry level technicians work under the direction of project managers, or assigned level II inspectors on small staff or short duration assignments. They assist level II technicians / experienced inspectors in performing the NDE or discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) inspection tasks while gaining experience, knowledge and job hours in order to take level II exams. Time in this OJT period should be spent mastering the basic skills required to advance in the inspection field. Typical assignments include equipment mobilization and set up, safety and radiological barrier set up, inspection application under the oversight of a Level II or III inspector, site cleanup, and report generation – with final review and approval by the level II or III.
Safety First; Compliance with all safety procedures, practices and policies is mandatory.
Become proficient at following System One NDE procedures in accordance with customer specifications, under the direct supervision and instruction as needed of Level 2 or Level 3 inspection personnel.
Personnel must be able to present themselves in a professional manner to the project manager and customers at all levels.
Assist in the preparation of components to be inspected, using power and or hand tools as required under the supervision of Level 2 or Level 3 inspection personnel.
Complete inspection and daily reports as required for the tasks executed.
Maintain NDE experience time log to support certification requirements.
Learn and abide by all System One policies and procedures.
Complete all required training, including tests, within System One guidelines.
Acquire a basic understanding of the industries System One services and the types of inspection and testing supplied by System One.
Maintain time-sheets and submit as required.
Required Education/ Certification/Basic Skills/ Experience
At a minimum a high school diploma, GED, or College Certification is required.
Entry level technicians should possess documented classroom training hours in: RT, UT, MT, PT, ET, and VT from an accredited NDE school, or relevant industrial experience, or a college degree in a technical discipline.
Must have basic computer skills including navigating in windows, word, excel and power point.
All safety training in accordance with System One safety Manuel.
Initial System One Quality Assurance Program Training
As required by ASNT and or relevant industrial experience.
Certifications needed to move to next Band:
Level II MT, PT, VT-Weld and UTT Minimum.
Basic Skills needed to move to next band:
Complete the System One Inspector Conduct / Ethics Evaluation, with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Complete the System One Blue Print Reading Evaluation, with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Complete the System One Inspector Metal Trades Evaluation, With a passing score of 80% or higher.
Complete the System One Piping Trades Evaluation, with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Complete the System One Inspection Report Writing and Sketching Evaluation, with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Complete the System One Inspection Computer Skills Evaluation, with a passing score of 80% or higher.
All personnel must have valid drivers' license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America, TWIC card is preferred.
Must pass drug and background check.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift and carry lightweight to heavyweight objects and use basic power and hand tools.
Climbing and working off of ladders, walking up stairs, and working on scaffolding in excess of 100 ft and working in confined spaces can be a routine part of some projects.
Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time.
The job is generally within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within variety fabrication, construction and operating plants. The environmental conditions can be indoor, outdoors, hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
