Provide solutions in support of the Savannah River Site electrical safety program working under a consultative direction to the SRS Senior Electrical Review Board (SERB). Provide expert level electrical safety advice in maintaining and managing the SRS Electrical Safety Program policies, procedures and training. Participate in electrical incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action plan development. Interpret site electrical safety procedures and regulatory requirements related to electrical safety including OSHA 1910 Subpart S, OSHA 1910.269, OSHA 1910.147, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 and ANSI C2 and 10 C.F.R. 851, Worker Safety and Health Program. Support SRS Safety with interpretation and application of the Lockout/Tagout program as application to electrical energy sources. Provide Facility Management with recommendations for ORPS reporting criteria related to electrical events. Represent SRS interests on the EFCOG Electrical Safety Task. Serve in an advisory role to peers, regulators, DOE, DNFSB, EFCOG Electrical Safety Task Group and DOE contractors for electrical safety related issues and applications.
Engineering services will be provided using SRS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRS.
Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRS holidays. Each workday has a 30- minute lunch.
Area Security Access: Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Afterward, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidate who have possessed an active DOE clearance ( L or Q ) within the past two ( 2 ) years are preferred.
