Location: Harris Nuclear - 5413 Shearon Harris Road, New Hill, NC
Duration: 6 months - likely to extend
Per diem: $100/day for days worked
Mob/demob: $500/each way
1.5 for OT (No salary or holiday pay)

The Nuclear Major Projects Planner is responsible for planning work orders for major design projects.

This position requires the individual to work with the Engineering,
Implementation and Station organizations to develop detailed planning to implement large scale projects utilizing design documents and procedures.
A successful mod planner will be able to utilize installation instructions from Engineering Change documents, work with the engineering and construction group, and coordinate necessary walk-downs and required station procedures to plan Work Order packages.
This position requires attending engineering change meetings to become familiar with modifications prior to final issuance.
The mod planner will review the engineering change product during development to ensure constructability of the design.
Duties include developing work packages for field implementation of projects.
Specify parts and procedures, time and material estimates as well as working with installers and designers to develop detailed installation packages.
The mod planner will be required to work with the Project Controls Schedulers as well as the Work Integration Schedulers to ensure Work Orders are identified and communicated in a timely manner to facilitate successful execution.
The mod planner is required to adhere to all station safety requirements as well as site QC requirements.
Facilitate implementation of the annual work plan for all projects on the planning horizon.
Consult with stakeholders to gather annual work plan data, set priorities, and make adjustments needed to effectively match work and resources for work balance (levelization).
Deliver a cost effective and efficient resource plan to the scheduling function.
Monitor and optimize long range implementation plan and direct required schedule changes.
Initiate and conduct monthly work plan meetings with stakeholders to ensure that business goals and objectives are being met by adhering to the plan and making necessary adjustments.
