Day & Zimmemann is currently seeking a Nuclear Safety Professional for an upcoming Fall outage role.
Nuclear Safety Professional
Provides formal inspections, and incident evaluations, work observations, mentors safe working practices. Reports to the Site Manager(s) on safety issues.
1. Maintain accident and prevention program on site.
2. New hire safety orientation.
3. Monitor all work activities for safe behavior and proper PPE.
4. Develop and chair all weekly staff meetings.
5. Train all employees on zero injury safety culture.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education and Training
OSHA 510 Construction or 511 General Industry Standards
Additional specialized training – i.e. fall protection, scaffold, rigging, confined space, competent person etc. OSHA 30 Hour Construction Standards Course or OSHA 500
Degree – Safety Discipline (Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate’s)
Nuclear Site Safety Coordinator/Engineer
Power/Construction Supervisory Level (Supervisor, General Foreman, Foreman) 2 Outages
Verbal Communication – 1 on 1, group presentation
Writing-Reports, Thorough Documentation
Research & Resource
Knowledge of Human Performance
Organization and Time Management
Work Place Observations
