[Project Manager] Project Manager Position

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a cost-minded Project Manager to join our team at a federal site in Richland, WA, that provides integral mission support to the Department of Energy. This position will also support the in the functions of a Cost Account Manager (CAM).

Position Overview:
Provide program direction (including planning/scheduling) to ensure implementation, execution, and completion of quality business, technical, and financial management of programs and associated projects.
Utilize education and experience with special emphasis in programs and services unique to the Federal Government.
Provide program benchmarking or quality process milestones in order to establish process performance monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement measures and subsequent integration into the program.
Ensure that all program objectives are met or exceeded.
Responsible for the planning and scheduling of work and work crew.
Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
Ensure that necessary resources are available and are used efficiently.
Assign and supervise personnel to provide comprehensive management matched with scope of program.
Communicate to ensure understanding of program goals, milestones, deliverables, and individualís functional responsibilities.
Evaluates progression of program milestones and modifies methodology as applicable to ensure overall program goals, objectives and budget are being attained.
Interfaces with and provides program compliance and progress updates and closeout services as appropriate with client/contract management.
Functions as a business or program representative to the stakeholders in briefings and meetings with the stakeholders and providing support services and leadership.
Provide a level of expertise both managerially and technically to government and corporate management.
Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.

Requirements:
Bachelorís Degree in a technical discipline and 15+ years of relevant Project Management experience.
6+ years of direct experience providing guidance and recommendations to senior management regarding projects.
PMP Certification is preferred.
Experience communicating with stakeholders in briefings and meetings and representing the client in public as well as improving public relations.
Understanding and experience using DOE O 413.3B Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets.
Understanding and experience using DOE Guide 413.3-1-21 Project Management Guides.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance, if necessary.
Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
