The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects for various training responsibilities associated with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of administrative and technical expertise in the areas of training strategy, planning, and direction for the training program. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.
Subcontractor shall:
Provide training as directed and be responsible for assisting in the development, and maintenance of the training programs
Assist with development and implementation of curriculum specific to the tasks associated with the project(s)
Facilitate communication and maintain relationships with a diverse range of individuals including immediate workgroup and various customers across the site.
Maintain training records and correspondences consistent with site procedures.
Track and schedule courses that pertain to the various workgroups on site.
Assist in the development of training materials.
WORK HOURS: A 40-hour workweek is scheduled; however, a specific work schedule will be established based upon the project needs. [SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 4/10ís (10 hours/day, 4 days per week), 5/8ís (8 hours/day; five days per week) and, 9/80ís (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Workweek excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has an unpaid 30-minute lunch.]

U.S. Citizen
A BS degree in applicable Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum two years related instructional experience at the high school level or above.
Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Training Certification preferred.
Provide details of any large-scale construction experience
Understanding of and ability to communicate technical information required.
Knowledge of software used in the industry for computer- based learning, videoconferencing, document management and web platform development.
Demonstrate ability to identify training needs, schedule events and facilitate presentations.
Experience with preparing course materials while using analytical and planning skills to assess training needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
Able to design programs using various techniques such as classroom learning, demonstrations, one-on-one coaching, or online learning.
Exhibit good interpersonal and observational skills to assess trainees understanding and progress.
Ability to identify problems or lack of progress against objectives, and adjust training programs, as necessary.
Ability to communicate with managers and professionals to negotiate, advise, and persuade on expeditious use of services.
Possess the financial skills to prepare and control budgets required to deliver the training strategy .
Monitor training costs against budgets and ensure the most efficient use of resources are employed.
Possess excellent verbal and writing skills along with the computer skills to support assigned activities.
