Provide design engineering support to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project as a Design Engineering Integrator. Primary responsibilities include oversite of Architect Engineering (AE) firms preparing new and modification to existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment and associated systems for the SRPPF project. Secondary responsibility includes preparation of engineering analysis, HVAC design development and generation of HVAC design output documents including but not limited to: calculations for equipment sizing, duct sizing, pressure drops, cooling tower sizing, heating and cooling loads, and air balancing for design work performed in-house. Coordinate review of design documents and records among various organizations such as Operations, Engineering, Construction, etc. Provide support to construction, support procurement of HVAC equipment, provide start up trouble shooting. Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as ASRAE, ARI, NFPA, SMACNA National Codes and Standards.

Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Afterward, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two years are preferred.
