NSSS Design Engineer - Mechanical or Structural - PE Desired

NSSS Design Engineer
Perform design and stress analyses of structures in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III Subsection NF, and applicable regulatory requirements. All work within the NSSS design organization is completed under ASME NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and respective U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.
Perform and document evaluations of components to the rules and requirements of Section III Subsection NF of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Utilize the results from these evaluations to optimize component(s) design.
Prepare and/or review engineering specifications, CAD models, and other documentation that communicate the design and technical aspects of components, systems, and structures associated with the NSSS.
Interprets scope and project requirements.
Acquires, maintains and develops training qualifications.
Education/Certification: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineering, from a four year ABET accredited college or university. Having a professional engineer (P.E. certification) is preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of full-time relevant working experience is required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience with the following:
Engineering design and analysis of Subsection NF components of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for both Plate and Shell Type Supports and Linear-Type Supports
Constructing and reviewing CAD
Constructing models and performing evaluations with the ANSYS simulation software

Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
