We are looking for a Principle Training Specialist 3 with the following qualifications:

General Description
The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects for, various training responsibilities associated with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of administrative and technical expertise in the areas of training strategy, planning, and direction for the training program. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task

Job Description
Under very limited supervision, performs in a senior role in the administration of training program(s), and is accountable for results of training. Directs a team of instructional staff in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training to provide NCP employees with the knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs safely and competently. Provides leadership in identification and resolution of training needs. Ensures compliance with DOE O 426.2, Manual 4B, and other applicable regulatory requirements. May have significant input in the budgeting process for training program(s).
Qualification as an Instructor in accordance with Manual 4B, Training and Qualification is required in this position within 6 months of the Subcontractor’s start date.

Duties (not inclusive)
• Conduct job and task analysis for balance of plant and process duty areas
• Develop task to training matrix
• Analyze task statements and develop associated qualifications cards and training summaries
• Analyze task statements and develop associated curriculum requirements
• Analyze training program requirements and develop long term training documents
• Analyze software requirements to support job and task analysis
• Advise Training Manager on establishing a SRPPF training program

Experience / Skills
• Understanding of and ability to communicate technical information required.
• Knowledge of software used in the industry for computer- based learning, videoconferencing, document management and web platform development.
• Demonstrate ability to identify training needs, schedule events and facilitate presentations.
• Experience with preparing course materials while using analytical and planning skills to assess training needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
• Able to design programs using various techniques such as classroom learning, demonstrations, one-on-one coaching, or online learning.
• Exhibit good interpersonal and observational skills to assess trainees understanding and progress.
• Ability to identify problems or lack of progress against objectives, and adjust training programs, as necessary.
• Ability to communicate with managers and professionals to negotiate, advise, and persuade on expeditious use of services.

Qualification Requirements:
BS Degree + 8 years experience in training program development and management.
• An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen
