Job Title: Engineering Support Specialist (NPG) B – Level B
Location: Decatur, AL
Duration: 9 Months
Pay: $46/hour

Our client has a need for an Engineering Support Specialist (NPG) B – Level B. If you have the background we are looking for, and you are interested in an opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading company, we want to talk with you!

Description:
Serves as technical expert relative to engineering support functions covering major programs and/or processes including, but not limited to vendor manuals, pers, welding, scheduling, performance and system monitoring/indicators, configuration management/ control workflow, and design impact coordination.
The incumbent is responsible to make substantive judgments in developing new or modifying existing programs goals and objectives and to define the means of accomplishment consistent with the company and organizational objectives.
Responsible for developing and implementing both programmatic and technical programs relative to the area of expertise.
Conducts in-depth analysis of new or existing objectives, procedures, and resources to identify actual or potential problem areas. Once these analyses are completed, develops corrective action measures with defined methods to monitor the program’s effectiveness.
Develops strategies for long-term programmatic success in providing services to customers.
Responsible for the on-going maintenance and adherence to applicable QA programmatic procedures.
May supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a small multidiscipline staff.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related scientific, technical or management desirable. Several years of related work experience or technical training a must if no degree.

Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access and S-3 and S-4 medical qualifications when applicable.
Must be able and willing to assume “on-call” rotational assignments which may include 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week availability.
Must be willing and medically able to work rotating shifts and maximum overtime permitted by the company’s procedures during peak periods.
Must be able and willing to travel to plant locations as required when performing assigned tasks and, as necessary, to be temporarily assigned to a field location.
