Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a subsidiary of Waséyabek Development Company, LLC (WDC), providing services to the Federal marketplace. POSITION SUMMARY
Experienced Mechanical Technician to participate in production for the assembly of cryomodules for various Superconducting Radio Frequency (SRF) Projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Works on Cold Mass and Vacuum Vessel assemblies outside of the clean room: Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) cleaning, sorting and arranging parts/hardware to be assembled, making sub-assemblies, assembling the components with a strict adherence to the travelers and procedure documents
•Works on Cryomodule Assembly Facilities infrastructure setup/upgrade and preventive maintenance
•Uses hand tools, operates electromechanical and hydraulic machine equipment, assembles components and subassemblies in accordance with documented specification and travelers.
•Reads drawings, leads and trains other technicians in performing their jobs, and input data into travelers utilizing a personal computer.
•Works as a team member under the supervision of a lead technician/engineer
•Works in a soft wall Class 1000 (ISO6) cleanroom environments
•Assisting welder for weld setups

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•High school diploma or equivalent to GED
•Minimum of five of years’ experience as a mechanical technician in a laboratory or industrial environment
•Solid mechanical skills with hand tools
•Proficient with torque wrenches
•Familiarity with ASME code compliance weld setups and rules
•Good understanding of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) practices vacuum-related equipment, helium mass spectrometry leak checking, ultra-high vacuum related cleaning and applications (making flange assemblies etc.) preferred
•United States citizenship is required to work on a federal contract and will be electronically verified via E-Verify
•Proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption authorization will be required by contract

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), must be available to work overtime as needed, and must be medically fit to participate in jobs requiring back effort, some lifting (up to 40 lbs.) and standing for long periods of time (Class A, Fermilab Back Injury Exam).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role generally operates in an office environment but may occasionally require exposure to work areas that require the use of PPE such as protective suits, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

TRAVEL
This position generally does not travel, expected travel less than 5%.
