Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Procurement Engineer opportunity for our customer in Carlsbad, NM to support the WIPP Facility.

Per Diem Available for those who qualify

Seeking 2 Procurement Engineers with a strong background of writing Statements of Work.

Job Description/Qualifications

Solid experience in analyzing technical data, original equipment design, manufacturing limitations, supplier capabilities and facilities, as well as availability of parts and equipment.
Highly skilled in Procurement Engineering process and programs that comply with ASME NQA-1, Design Engineering and Technical Specification requirements.
Perform the following evaluations in accordance with NWP/WIPP Engineering procedures; technical specifications; codes such as but not limited to ASME, ASTM, ANSI, IEEE, EPRI, ISA, and DOE Directives; and designs basis requirements.
Technical Evaluations of Replacement Items.
Safety Classification determinations.
Commercial Grade Item Determinations.
Receipt Inspection discrepancies.
Analysis and Alternate Vendor Replacement Equivalency Evaluations.
Shelf Life and In-Storage Maintenance Evaluations.
Assisted multiple departments in the following:
Developing Purchase Requisition.
Creating Scopes of Work.
Acquiring all Specifications, Procedures and Design Documentation required for the activity described in the Purchase Requisition.
Administered all assigned technical subcontract requirements to include the following:
Statement of Work.
Safety Requirements.
Quality Assurance (QA) Requirements.
Applicable Site Environmental Policy Requirements.
Processing of Subcontractor Submittals.
Approval of Invoices.
Required Subcontractor Training.
Implement Procurement Engineering processes and programs that comply with Design Engineering and technical specification requirements.
Revise, and evaluate BOMs, an approved parts lists, and includes the appropriate evaluations, documentation, paperwork determination of class (safety or non- safety related) and approvals for procurements of these parts.
Support and assist the coordination of activities in support of the material and logistic process. Assist in ensuring the requirements for planned and emergent work, from planning to the execution of work to operations, as well as the supply organization are met.
