Project Engineer for Procurement Integrator

Provide design engineering procurement management support to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project as a Project Engineer / Procurement Integrator Manager. Primary responsibilities include overseeing a team of procurement integrators who will provide oversite design build firms, Architect Engineering (AE) firms, and other specialty equipment contracts and suppliers required to support the SRPPF project. Coordinate review of design documents and records among various organizations such as Operations, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Business Services, etc. Provide support to support procurement of mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and I&C equipment. Must be familiar with National Codes and Standards
Knowledge of procurement and engineering functions associated with nuclear facility design is preferred, including the application of safety class and safety significant codes and standards.
Prior experience providing technical support to procurement is required based on the above duties’ description.
Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures.
Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear, I&C, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
Advanced Degrees (preferred)
15 or more years design experience in the field of Design Engineering
5 or more years providing supporting procurement
Experience preparing, monitoring, and reporting for plans, including schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements associated with solving complex engineering problems and projects
Working design experience in a nuclear industry/facility is preferred – including familiarity with NQA-1, commercial grade dedication
Occasional travel may be required
Previous SRS Design Engineering experience and working knowledge of SRNS design processes and procedures is preferred
The ability to support a 40-hour work week utilizing a 4/10s shift (10 hours/day; Monday through Thursday) is preferred. If unavailable to support a 40-hr work week, please propose the level of support that can be provided. Part time support will be considered.
