We are looking for a CONSTRUCTION DATABASE SPECIALIST with the following qualifications:

The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects for, Construction Operations with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of administrative and technical expertise in the areas of Construction Database Specialist services. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.

The Construction Database Specialist is responsible to the Construction Integration Manager and the Construction Services Manager for providing ongoing support for data integrity and database efficiencies as it relates to the needs of the Construction disciplines.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Analysis, design, and implementation of the database components for a wide variety of internally developed applications.
• Work with the Construction Automation Manager and Advanced Work Packaging manager to ensure seamless integration of necessary data between tools and databases
• Provide technical service in evaluating the design and coordinating the initiatives with front-end application developers to understand and tune use of the database structures as it relates to Construction
• Participate as a Construction team member in evaluating system resource utilization and storage usage/capacity and makes recommendations to improve application performance to meet business and financial requirements.
• Responsible for the migration of databases between software versions and synchronizing data between different databases residing in different platforms.
• Provides input to the management on specific technology/platform changes to be used in setting new direction for the department.
• Track and Status material from procurement to installation in the field
• Anticipate needs in the field and work with planners and schedulers to plan work accordingly.

Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.
Experience / Skills
• The ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications is preferred.
• Recent experience as a Database specialist on a large scale NNSA/DOE/DOD/Commercial nuclear EPC project is preferred.
• Familiarity with nuclear quality (e.g., NQA-1) and commercial quality practice standards is preferred.
• Candidates should be self-starters, highly motivated, requiring minimal supervision, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Related experience includes positions held as a construction scheduler on heavy industrial or large civil projects; preference given to candidates with Major EPC Project experience.
Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with specialized technical training.

Minimum 10 years in supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering or other task relevant programs or projects; typically 5 to 10 years in a management role.
Typical Duties (not inclusive):
Project assessment, budget analysis, technical organization analysis, performance data gathering project administration, program management, etc.

An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.

Estimated duration:
The period of performance shall be for a period of one year from award of this agreement with two one-year options.
