Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for an Emergency Management Contractor Assurance Specialist opportunity in Carlsbad, NM to support the DOE’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Project.
Under supervision, performs technical work focused on planning, developing, appraising, and implementing an
emergency management program compliant with DOE orders and directives.
Duties (not all inclusive):
Assist with the operational readiness of the WIPP Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the ERO
Provides assistance in scheduling, execution and evaluation of WIPP Drill and Exercise Program
Perform reviews of Emergency Management plans and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
When directed, provide input for Internal and External assessments, Key Performance Indicators, ERAP
Maintain WebEOC, Everbridge, DOE Emergency Communications Network, EOC equipment as required.
Handle official records in accordance with the Records Inventory and Disposition Schedule
Tracks required ERO training, schedules required training to ensure ERO members remain qualified
Tracks and manages EM program commitment items; ensure closure of open items
Performs self-assessments in support of the Emergency Management Program as directed/assigned
College degree preferred, but not required. Experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
1+ years of experience, prefer previous work experience to be at a DOE site.
